Park runs away from Beth Tfiloh in the second half

Missing two starters and with only seven players available, Park School used solid defense and a balanced scoring attack to defeat IAAM C Conference rival Beth Tfiloh, 46-16, on the road Tuesday evening.

Junior center Rose Coll dominated the paint, contributing 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Freshman forward Akira Townes and freshman point guard Zoe Mayers chipped in nine points apiece, and Mayers added three assists and three steals.

In addition, junior guard Ashley Hohman added eight points and three assists.

Beth Tfiloh was led by Shira Ness, who scored five points.

Park got off to a slow start, with the score 6-6 after one quarter, but the Bruins went up 17-9 at the half. Park picked up the intensity in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 19-6, and in the fourth, during which they allowed only one point.
